An annual meeting is held at the end of each year to review progress made toward the goals outlined in the Record of Decision for the site’s Superfund area regulated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. In 2024, the meeting was held on December 9th at 6:00 p.m. at the Bauer Community Center located at 2300 State Hwy 35 N in Port Lavaca, TX 77979.
The current status for the Alcoa (Point Comfort)/Lavaca Bay Superfund Site can be found in the Remedial Action Annual\Effectiveness Report (RAAER) and Third Five Year Review Report. The next Five-Year Review is scheduled for completion in August 2026.
