Caroline Rossignol
President, Alcoa Foundation
In this role, Caroline is responsible for overseeing Foundation activities to invest in the regions where Alcoa has a presence with a focus on sustainable outcomes aligned with the Foundation’s funding priorities. She leads the Foundation and serves as Chair of the Alcoa Foundation Board of Directors.
Caroline is a purpose-driven and pragmatic executive with more than 30 years of experience in advancing positive social, environmental, and economic impacts with industry and NGOs.
Before joining Alcoa, Caroline served as the Director, Global Corporate Responsibility for IDEXX from 2019-2023. IDEXX is a global US-based animal health diagnostics and medical devices company. During her time with IDEXX, Caroline established and led the IDEXX Foundation resulting in 60 initiatives in 21 countries.
Caroline has more than 15 years of experience in the mining sector, most recently serving as Director, Sustainability and Social Performance at Lundin Mining Corporation from 2016-2019. While at Lundin, Caroline managed the corporate philanthropic program including Lundin Foundation projects representing $12 million annually to advance responsible mining priorities in host communities including addressing barriers to local workforce development, economic diversification, STEM education, and biodiversity conservation. Prior to Lundin, she worked for 9 years at Barrick Gold and 10 years with various wildlife habitat conservation organizations.
Caroline is Canadian, bilingual (English and French) and has managed social performance teams, risks, and programs in North America, Europe, South America, Africa, Australia-Pacific, and Arctic regions.
